Product Manager

  • On-site
    • Copenhagen, Denmark

Join ChurchDesk to create products that makes a difference for thousands of customers and tens of thousands of users.

Job description

ChurchDesk is an ambitious scale-up exclusively focused on the church vertical in Europe where we help drive change for some of the largest and oldest institutions in the world.

We are looking for a product manager to join our product team. You will report to our CPO.

As Product Manager you will play a key role in executing our product strategy and product roadmap. From identified product opportunities you will be involved in deep exploration of the product opportunity and specifying exactly how we should help our customers. You will build the solutions together with our UI/UX designer and engineering team. You will be responsible for ensuring a strong launch together with our commercial team as well as secure successful adoption across our user base.

We work on big ambitious and strategic products for our customers, but we try to not let perfection get in the way of progress. We always start by shipping the smallest viable version 1. As a result you will always strive for finding the simplest solution to complex problems.

Finally you will be responsible for continuously creating product improvements that ensure that users love using our products every day.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of identified product opportunities and context

  • Identify and specify exactly how we should help our customers by crafting a validated solution

  • Work closely with engineering to develop the product or improvement

  • Carry out user acceptance testing to ensure we successfully resolve customer pain points

  • Actively work with our customer facing teams to secure that they have a deep understanding of the product already from launch

  • Plan and drive successful product launches together with our commercial

  • Proactively and continuously seek ways to improve adoption

Job requirements

Must haves

  • You speak Danish or German at a native level and are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.

  • Be able to work in our Copenhagen office

  • Expect around 20 travel days a year

Personal Skills

  • You are curious about users, how they work and use our software.

  • You start small and focus on a deep understanding of the core problem - you don’t feel the need to invent the wheel if answers are easily found in pattern research, but where necessary you can apply first principles thinking

  • You understand that assumptions lead to problems, so you” trust, but verify” by engaging deeply with the subject matter in a hands-on way

  • You share early and often, iterate based on feedback from users, engineers, support and others.

  • You are assertive with a strong bias for action and getting things done. You find answers instead of waiting for them.

  • You are motivated by creating outcomes that move the needle for our users

  • You have clarity of thought with excellent communication skills

Experience

  • Relevant experience or proven track record is more important than years in the field or formal education

  • Ideal domain experience is startups/scale-ups working with web and mobile products - ideally productivity tools, CRM, ERP or similar for non-profits or public sector

  • You are as home in spreadsheets as in Figma

  • You have a good technical understanding and can quickly balance driving technical complexity and value to user

  • As a minimum you have a relevant bachelor’s degree in business or computer science
